Catering for children from 18 months to 3 years� old It is now that we begin to introduce a slightly more structured day into nursery life. All the children are encouraged to take part in free play and small group activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage principles and areas of learning and
development promoting learning through play.
Our 11 place Busy Bee room has a carpeted area for the children to safely play with our huge range of age appropriate toys and games, as well as an uncarpeted section for messier play to be enjoyed with things such as sand, water and clay to help develop
their creative skills and encourage imagination. The children sit together for meals as we think it is a fantastic opportunity for them to interact with the other children to help them to develop their social skills and encourage table manners.
When your child is ready for potty training then our friendly staff will be more than happy to help and offer the benefit of their expert advice and years of experience. There is of course always direct access to our potty training area and children's
bathroom, and we encourage our children to be as independent as possible when it comes to toileting and hand washing, but our team are always there for support.
Most of our toddlers like to have a rest after lunch time and we lay snooze mats out for them so that they can lie quietly or sleep if they would prefer. Each one of our children has their own named sleep bag and sheet and blanket. This room has direct
access to our beautiful, safe and secure garden which gives them the opportunity to mix with the other children and socialise. We spend time outdoors every day, whatever the weather, so the children need to bring appropriate clothing each day, don't
forget your wellies for the farm! If the weather is really bad we have a sheltered area where children can still benefit from some fresh air. We like to use the garden as an extension of the playroom so that the children can choose to be inside or outside
during the day.
